As the weather gets nicer and more boaters hit the waterways, the U.S. Coast Guard is out on patrol. This Coast Guard crew pulled over a recreational boat at New Pass, with a family onboard. Usually, the U.S.C.G. is checking boat safety, including to see if there are enough life jackets on board for each passenger. There were so many guys on the U.S.C.G. boat, though, it could have been a training exercise as well.

Or a drug bust?
Nice looking scene. Water always amazes me. It is usually a lot brighter than one suspects. I know I sunburn a lot easier when I am on water than when I am not on water.
Hopefully not a drug bust!
Good to know they're out there. Every year there are accidents from the rough surf here and these guys (and girls) spring into action like lightening.
Whoooooops!
People tend to forget how dangerous the sea can be...
Maybe the mother or daughters were cute . . .
Glad they are looking out for us. Its one of those boats you always see and hope you never need.
