This handsome painting was created by Carlo DiNapoli, the same artist who did the portrait that I posted yesterday. I don't know much about the finer points of painting, but I think it's a testament to DiNapoli's talent that he can capture not only detailed human characteristics but animals as well. This is part of the current exhibit in the Federal Building, and in talking with some folks in the lobby it seems to be a favorite right now. I really like the warm tones, the detail of the fur and those piercing eyes. Apparently, DiNapoli also is an art instructor in the Sarasota area. You are right. This is without a doubt a handsome painting with plenty of detail. I have no hand skills like this so I'm sticking with photography.
Oh he is good..pulled in closer you can see how fantastic the King of the jungle looks.
This one also almost looks like a photo!
Lions have the sweetest faces, and he has captured the felines well!
Looks to be worth a trip to see.
This pair looks like they could have walked out of a C.S. Lewis novel.
This is very lifelike.
You can tell the CDP CEO that I cede all picture-taking rights to the Sarasota federal building to SDP. Maybe all federal buildings. We can talk.
Incredibly lifelike. What a talented artist.
Wow! These lions are super realistic. Love their proud faces.
I don't even take photos that sharp and detailed. Amazing.
