Right on Time

Bald Eagle

This guy is right on time! He arrives about 30 minutes before sunset with just enough sunlight for me to snap a few pics.  So considerate!  When I downloaded this pic, I noticed the incredible camouflage with the eagle's feathers and the tree bark.  Almost indistinguishable -- amazing!

The head works as camouflage, too, against a cloudy sky. But the beak give it away! A very cool shot at any rate. These things do look fierce!

I wonder if they have an inbuilt time clock? or is it the fading daylight that suggests it is time to find that nest or good branch? The feathers, the tree bark, what a similarity, amazing.

What an awesome discovery SRQ, you are going to have a brilliant time capturing images of this mighty predator.. and as per requested last post, my lips are sealed, no-one will find out from moi 😀

Fabulous shot! Well done. You're right...the bark and feathers are so close in color.
