We're having some rather unusual weather patterns this summer. During a typical summer, the day starts out beautiful, the clouds build throughout the day and then there's a thunderstorm by late afternoon, which clears up fairly quickly. This summer it's been unpredictable. Some days it's been raining early in the morning, mid-morning, early afternoon or in the evening. I snapped this picture the other day when I was heading home for lunch --- and got caught in an unexpected downpour.

I know - hasn't all this rain been crazy?
Here in Kentucky it is much the same. Either all wet or all dry.
I spent last week in Naples and nearly every day was the typical pattern of temperatures building throughout the day and then releasing the energy at 5 p.m. with thunder, lightning and a cloudburst.
We need rain up here in PA. We had a brief storm yesterday, but not enough to soak in. Love those red awnings!
You just described exactly how the weather pattern was when I lived in Central Africa, I loved it! But you're right, now the weather pattern everywhere just seems to be a little haywire!
