Autumnal Nuptials

SDP 11-6-11

I'm back! I enjoyed a getaway to Mt. Dora, a quaint little town northwest of Orlando. Besides oodles of charming B & B's, and a good old fashioned downtown (filled with American flags for Veterans' Day), Mt. Dora hits the spot for me because it's just far enough north for the mercury to drop in the fall. Yes...it was sweater weather! (A very exciting change for those of us who live with 70-degrees plus most days.) While I was relaxing on a balcony overlooking downtown, this wedding party trotted into my viewfinder. Could this be any more quaint?!

Ah! Nice! Now way would you see that here. The temperature almost went down to freezing point last night. I still think it would be romantic as hell under some sort of fur!!!

That's really special! When we stayed at the Marriott Waterside in Tampa, we saw an (east) Indian wedding ceremony where the groom rode in on a horse. It was quite the sight and we watched it all from our balcony too!

Even the horse is dressed in white. Great catch.

We like Mt. Dora a lot. I wonder if that little wine-making place is still in the downtown area.

This is interesting photo because I just saw an article on AOL which said that "vintage" weddings are phasing out!

It's also an interesting photo because I'd guess those cars behind the horse and carriage are not too happy...

Re Lowell: The prison is just up the road from the post office. And I'd say they women are happy to get any male they can - snail or otherwise! ;-)

A nice scene, SRQ. You want sweaters? Hartford in the winter is just the place for you.

Oh I bet you couldn't believe your luck, so good that we bloggers always have a camera at the ready haha! Who says romance is dead! definitely not, this is gorgeous. Have been catching up on missed posts, lol at your "woody woodpecker' post, great pictures and hilarious wordage. The Chalk Festival art was unbelievable, 3D art just blows me away, how clever are they! So good to be home.

All I can think of is the Seinfeld episode with the beans. Mich State beats Wisc and they should go to the Rose Bowl, right? I would still rather see them in the TicketCity Bowl, lol.

That's the way to arrive in style at your wedding!

This shot stands out because of the elevated shot that you could manage.
