Grazin' in the Grass

This is the other side of Sarasota!  Driving along University Parkway at dusk, I had a feeling I was going to see something photo-worthy.  Sure enough...I spotted light brown out of the corner of my eye --- three deer enjoying dinner in a grassy meadow.  I later discovered the next road a block away is called Deer Drive.

So much green! That's funny about the name of the street!

How cool, I've never seen that here in Sarasota! Of course you were driving along the edge of it! LOL! :-)

Ah, Lyndsey...so true! A few yards to the north and I would've been in Manatee County. (FYI: University Parkway is the county line -- split right down the middle. South side = Sarasota; north side = Manatee. When I first moved to that area, I discovered Comcast Cable was carrying the wrong PEG channels (public, education and gov't access). They were showing Manatee gov't meetings etc. in Sarasota. Long story short, Comcast was confused about the location of the county line. It was quite a technical problem, but it was rectified because Sarasota residents in the area were paying to see Sarasota programming.)

Very serene! I like your composition. The little palm adds just the right touch!

I don't know what it is about deer, but I go really quiet when I see them.

It's scorching over here right now. What is it like over your neck of the woods? Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
