I didn't actually see this seagull swipe the slice of apple protruding from its beak. But, the way it's standing so proudly displaying its prize I can't help but wonder if the bird waited for those swimmers to wade into the Gulf of Mexico, then made its move --- snatched their apple and strutted down the beach mocking them. Whatever happened, it occurred in an oil free zone. As you can see, Siesta Key beach is still oil free -- as are all the beaches in Sarasota. You forgot about all the sun tan oil floating around.
Nice shot, thats a big slice.
Cool shot, the gull against the swimmers. We could do with a beach holiday, thieving birds or not!
great capture! good to know your beaches are oil-free.
Cute! Seagulls can be pushy sometimes.
Thankfully your beach shot here is still oil free. This is a fun shot. I love how you captured the swimmers in the background watching the bird! Your header shot is gorgeous, too!
Good shot with swimmers behind. I often think that seagulls must see the beach as a giant banquet of hotdogs and Doritos. I'm glad Jonathan Livingston made a wise food choice
Very cool shot. Seagulls are always on the lookout for food. That is so cute.
Clever seagull! An amusing snap.
