Lady Herald

This mural just pops off the old Herald Building in Burns Square.  The building dates back to the 1920's and at one point housed the Sarasota Herald newspaper.  After a significant renovation several years ago, it's now home to many shops, some apartments and a restaurant.  One of the things I really like is that it's triangular.  To see the building from a different vantage point click here.

This is very beautiful - both the mural and the building!

1920s? very cool. She has a romantic art deco look and if I were a 13 year old boy I would be most interested in this lady. Historically of course.

It is a beautiful mural but I am somewhat surprised that a bare-breasted goddess appears in an outdoor venue. I'm not the least bit offended but living in very conservative Arizona I think it would have been banned here! We're sometimes a little behind the times ~ and this was 1920s so that tells you something). Thanks for the link to the other pictures. Isn't it frustrating when you love a structure so much and there just isn't the right angle or the proper time of day to photograph it. There's a place like that here that I've finally given up on because I've been there every hour of the day and the lighting is never right!

Ho-kay... why are her breasts exposed? She is very beautiful so surely she doesn't need any other ploy to get attention?

Many thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!
