Red Shoes, Orange Squash

Who doesn't wear red glittery shoes to pick out that perfect pumpkin?!  I was preparing to take a picture of the festive display outside Whole Foods in downtown Sarasota when this mother and daughter walked right into my shot.  What's a photographer to do?!  On a different note, the entire staff at SDP will be on hiatus for awhile.  The chairman of the board has ordered mandatory furloughs -- but with the same pay we always receive at SDP.  Happy blogging!

Those shoes made my day. I'd wear them if I could get away with it. Bon voyage. See you when you return!

How cute is that? Too bad the mom was right there in the shot, but what are you going to do?

Working in an elementary school I see many many glittery shoes and such! It's so much fun! Have fun on your furlough, you'll be missed!

I always wear my red shoes when buying pumpkins. Of course, it isn't easy finding them in size 14. But, it is worth it. Enjoy the furlough, but America needs you back on the job!!!

I used to groan when someone walked into my shot but now I just chortle and snap happily away. Some of my best shots have been the result - one won a local photography contest. It also means that instead of worrying about people getting uptight about being photographed they are more likely to apologize for getting in the way. It's all good. And so is this shot. The red shoes are wonderful.
