Bird's Eye View

I haven't posted a bird picture for at least a couple of weeks....so, here we go!  Here's a Great Blue Heron hanging out, looking for dinner in the distance.  I really do love the birds here in Sarasota.  I hear an effort is underway by the local Audubon Society chapter to turn an old vegetable field into a County park because exotic birds migrate there.  Sounds like a pretty cool idea.

What a great idea. I saw one here last week. I thought they were more "tropical" but I guess not.

He is certainly intent on something! One of the things I remember the most about living in Sarasota were the wild parakeets.

Fantastic shot! Nice to know that I'm not the only one in Sarasota that has so many bird photos.
