Patinons!

Aimez-vous patiner?  The City Commission approved a proposal by downtown business owners to shut down this portion of First Street for.......an ice skating rink!  It'll be right here on the street during the holidays.  The company which owns the rink guarantees the ice will be 4-degrees --  even outside in sunny, warm Florida.  Sounds like fun!  Standby for ice skating pics.

No way, in the warm weather too?! I'd like to see that, you better keep us posted!

You made me laugh with your K name suggestions! :)

Oh yes great idea! Can't remember the last time I heard of a city deciding in favor of something so retro and fun.

That should be a treat! Do you ice skate? I have never tried it.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

Ice in Florida? An alien concept even for the Panthers and Lightning. Ha!

How fun! They used to set one up here around the holidays too, but I don't know why they stopped. My kids always loved it.

In Europe, including the UK, they usually do this in winter, but I can see the advantage of summer ice-skating.

Did this actually come to pass? I haven't seen or heard anything about it...
