Sizzlin' Stroll

SDP 7-23-11
It was 93 degrees at 5:30 p.m. and these folks were enjoying a stroll along Sarasota Bay at Ken Thompson Park.  Me?  I snapped this shot and scampered into the cool, refreshing air conditioning.

Just 93? We were at 98 at 6 p.m. (being not far from the Gulf we too have high humidity levels) and had I been in Arizona, my former home, I'm sure it would have been 108! The whole country seems to be sweltering.

We're having Florida-like weather up here in PA, but we don't have a beautiful bay like that to stroll along. Sigh.

A peaceful scene... looks like a lovely spot for a stroll...

It is even hotter up north, SRQ. You wouldn't believe it. My blog's management isn't requiring people shots, just mixing it up so I don't get in a rut. The shots were right in front of me.

I think that your scene is warmer than it appears, and I do know how humid and hot we have been this summer along the southern coasts. At least we know that we will not be as cold as Jack in December, January, February......

Well, scamper right out, my friend, and live a little!

You are a true soldier! Just imagining the picture with what Jacob said. :) Yeah, air-conditioning is cool (haha.) but when you HAVE to go out, it feels like the seventh plane of torment after the refreshment from the AC. Cheers!
