Ever take a photo and you're not too sure you like it....but, then, the more you look at it, the more you like it? This is one of those for me. I snapped this guy soaring over Ken Thompson Park in Sarasota. At first, I really didn't like the busy background with the palm tree. But, now, that's one of the aspects of the picture that I really like. Just goes to show, it's better to pause before hitting the 'ol delete button.

great shot, I love the background, reminds me where its at.
I know exactly what you mean. But, your image of the pelican is super-crisp and its position is perfect, so a little confusion with the background is a small price to pay.
I always save all my pictures. I find that I can better judge them a month or so down the road. And looking at them on the little tiny on-camera display just doesn't do them justice.
Super shot.
I like it! Been meaning to tell you that I was walking my dog last week and, in the corner of my eye, I spotted a great blue heron standing a few feet away in a marshy drainage field looking right at me. I thought I was seeing things! Oh how I wished I had my camera!
Great shot! so hard when they are in flight!
It so cool...almost looks 3D. Great shot, so close to the pelican.
A fantastic shot of this pelican!
I'm with Jack - it's a gorgeous capture!
whoa!! awesome pic
Unless a photo is hopelessly blurred, I, too, wait for awhile after the pics are downloaded on my computer before I delete. I actually should delete more than I do. The details on the bird is fantastic!
