Although the rainy season (and accompanying hurricane season) doesn't officially begin for one week, you can see thunderhead clouds trying to form into a late afternoon storm over Tampa Bay on Anna Maria Island, a short jaunt up the road from Sarasota. The only thing that materialized last weekend when I took this photo was a refreshing breeze. Soon, though, the regular afternoon storms will arrive and we'll hear warnings about the devastation this beautiful water (and wind) could cause, as we enter hurricane season. More on that some other time. For now, let's enjoy this scene.

The water is such a pretty color! I hear we are in for a pretty active hurricane season this year.
