Squish! Squish!

Imagine my surprise when I was about to take a photo of the flooding on City Island (the result of a day long deluge yesterday), when this guy came sprinting into frame.  Look at his left foot --- it's completely submerged!  It happened so fast, it took me a moment to process what was happening.  At first, I thought, 'You've got to be kiddin' me!'  That thought was immediately replaced with, 'Get the picture!  Get the picture!

I used to be a runner. Fortunately for me, the treatments worked. He may have need of them.

Nice flood. He'd better watch out for snakes. Are you as tired of the rain as we are up here in Tampa?

Great shot...those runners are diehards!
The rain came down just as the kids were coming to school for their first day!

Good job! You were quick and got the shot. I seem to always be a few seconds too slow.

Yes..tired of the dreary overcast sky. I can't believe how much rain we've been getting. Not good for outdoor photography -- or kids going back to school.

LOL! Love your internal conversation and your capture!

We've lots of die-hard athletes (joggers, soccer players, etc) like him. No choice really, since our rainy season is from June to October.
