The timing for my visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains last week was perfect. Although the leaves were just past peak, they still were gorgeous -- plus, I avoided a severe winter storm which arrived courtesy of Hurricane Sandy a few days after I left. This shot was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway just outside of Blowing Rock. I love the lone red tree just off center to the right. Mother Nature was putting on quite a show!

Fabulous colors with a diagonal line that leads the eye from left to right. Super composition! The bright red leaves in the middle also catches one's eye.
It almost looks like a painting. I love that little splash of red in the center!
beautiful colors, we drove through there on Monday, met some rain and snow but still beautiful.
I was going to say that sure doesn't look like Sarasota! What a gorgeous shot! The Blue Ridge mountains are so beautiful at anytime of year but especially in the fall.
What a wonderful time of the year for this trip. This photo is stunning.
It is very pretty, SRQ. It has been decades since I was in the Blue Ridge mountains, but I remember them as being breathtaking.
It's not your fault. canada goose It is a magnificent hotel property, located on a level, in the middle of apple and apple orchards and providing opinions of the Himalayas. longchamp Ihaovofph
