This is another sculpture in the 'Intersections' public art campaign. Dennis Kowal, a popular artist here in Sarasota created it and calls it 'Fractured Migration', although many people just refer to it as the "Ice Sculpture' because, well, it looks like one, particularly when lit at night. This was taken at Selby Five Points Park shortly before the 'Intersections' kickoff party got underway with a jazz trio, hors'dourves and public art discussion. I couldn't help but notice the guy in the background sitting on the park bench, enjoying the music and watching the event unfold. He's homeless. More on him tomorrow.

I love the sculpture, ice or water, whatever. Sad about the homeless.
it does look like ice, or a big chuck of white chocolate with white chocolate chips in it........yeah I have a sweet tooth this morning.
I think it looks like ice too and it is very interesting! It seems there are homeless everywhere you go now.
Ice and the homeless...one seems to last a lot longer. Yes, sad.
It is pretty nice, but I guess I don't see the ice idea. Good luck about the bad weather. The Weather Channel is showing nasty weather around you tonight.
