Peaceful Morning

This is the First Baptist Church steeple on Main Street in downtown.  Whenever I'm near it with my camera, I always have to take a picture.  Between it being alabaster white and the sun being so bright here, it's challenging to capture a good shot.  So, I keep trying.   This time around I like the wispy cirrus clouds.

I love the serenity in your photo. The white against the blue is perfect.

Have a great start to your week!

Many thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

I love this shot. It is something that I would do. When we drove up to Michigan last Christmas we stopped overnight at a friends house in North Carolina. When we left early morning we drove by Friendship Church and I want to grab a shot so bad, but my camera was froze and wouldn't work until it warmed up. (we're not used to worrying about freezing temps in the car overnight). It was perfect, crystal clear blue skies, and a big white steeple. I did get one on the way back, but the sky wasn't as blue. They sure had a lot of steeples to take picture of in that area.

I'm glad to see yours!

First of all, I think your header photo is just magnificent! And the steeple shot is excellent, also...great light and colors!

Beautiful shot! I absolutely love steeples against a gorgeous blue sky. Here in the desert we don't have too many steeples.

P.S. Thanks for your nice comment on prickly pear photo. Those red things are the fruit (you can make jam, jelly and margaritas out of them!). The blossoms are beautiful red or yellow flowers that bloom in the spring.

A baptist church with a steeple would be a rare site in the UK, unless such a church had taken over an abandoned Anglican building. This photo is lovely, as all you visitors say. Skies are grey over here, and snow is forecast!
