Landing Gear Down

Did TSA pat down those stick legs???   This feathered in-flight beast is a wood stork with its landing gear down approaching the celery fields.  Watching it wobble through the air, making corrections with the wind currents, I was impressed with its smooth uneventful landing.  He's a natural!

is it the Wood Storks that are at the Corkscrew Preserve? I saw them a few years ago and they were magnificent! Liking your blog - I really enjoyed Sarasota whenever I have been there.
