Probably the most well known image associated with Arches National Park is Delicate Arch. Standing 64 feet tall and 34 feet wide, it's the largest of the 2,000+ natural sandstone arches in the park. (Look how small the Junior Editor and I look standing beneath it!) To get to the arch, you have to be willing to hike in the direct sun for 1.5 miles over slick rock and climb almost 500 feet. The views are wonderful and the destination sublime -- well worth it!

Oh my gosh! How totally amazing SRQ, so definitely worth the hike, that view is beyond stunning! Double Arch is fabulous but Delicate Arch wins hands down.. merci beaucoup for showing!
I never realized how many arches there were in the park. This one I've seen in photos before and I think I'll settle for that. When you start talking 1.5 mile hikes over slippery rocks and climbing 500 feet, this old body recoils in horror! 😧
What a photo, and so well worth the hike. A holiday of a lifetime maybe.
A stunning image! Such beautiful scenery! The height is amazing when you place people in the image. Well worth the hike.
Wow! Mother Nature is full of surprises... and this one is awesome.
Gosh, that is huge. I didn't even see you until I read the text and started looking. Haven't been to Arches yet. I am starting to think that I should do a western swing next year or the year after.
Spectacular shot in a beautiful place. And it looks like you had wonderful weather, too.
Wow! Awesome picture. I really love the colors on that photo. Great!
That is a gorgeous shot!
Incredible, and definitely worth the effort in getting to it!
