I suppose one could describe this scene as the early stages of abandonment. Tables and chairs are stacked and ready to be placed into position for the lunch crowd -- but, this restaurant on Sanibel island moved locations about a month ago. Hard to believe this outdoor furniture was left behind. The restaurant is called Doc Ford's -- named after the fictitious character made popular by New York Times bestselling author Randy Wayne White. Before becoming a novelist, White was a fishing guide on the island. Now with many bestsellers under his belt, he owns several Doc Ford's restaurants in the area. I was happy to hear this one relocated nearby because I always enjoyed food and service. (Word has it, Randy will be at the new site in just a couple of weeks signing his latest novel "Seduced". ) To see other interpretations of this month's theme day -- abandoned -- by City Daily Photo bloggers click here.

Good theme day post.
We've spent many happy times on Sanibel...but that was a while back and I don't remember a Doc Ford's restaurant although he's one of my favorite authors. Are you going to the signing?
Hopefully someone will use this furniture.
"Abandoned" usually strikes me as old, but these items look both usable and in very good shape.
Funny peculiar when good items are left behind----and there they stay. Odd.

Nice theme day post. Hopefully someone will get the use these tables and chairs.
This is the "before" shot in the abandonment realm. Before the mold, corrosion, and disuse catches up with everything. I hope they're saved that fate...
What a shame to see all theses tables and chairs left behind. Maybe there's still hope for a revival.
gosh they could at least donate them to goodwill!
As you say hopefully only temporarily abandoned SRQ 😊😊
Odd that they left those behind.
It is hard to believe this furniture would be left behind... hardly looks abandoned!
Such nice pieces left behind? Anyway, hope you have a lovely weekend♥
