2 Ospreys & 1 Bridge

SDP 3-10-16

This is what the great egret in yesterday's photo was looking at: two ospreys roosting on a channel marker in Tampa Bay. Oh…and maybe that bridge back there too.  That incredible span is the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which connects Pinellas and Manatee counties.  It was a beautiful day to shoot the bridge when I was there, so I'll have a few more pics to share in the near future. (And, perhaps by that time I will have looked up some interesting factoids about the Skyway.)

Well, they have to make sure whoever is on that water knows the markers are there. Not much to perch on, but together for company. Lovely settings for the water ripples.

That is one of my favorite bridges in the whole world. I wish I'd taken more time to photograph it, but we did stop once on the south end and got some nice shots. This is beautiful, and the ospreys add just the right touch!

Ah! The egret was waiting to see what kind of fishing luck the ospreys might have, and where. Fisherpeople are alike no matter what their species!
