F-f-f-frosty Morn

As far as the eye could see, there was frost on the ground yesterday morning.  In the dozen years I've lived in Florida, I don't recall seeing this much frost.  Ever.  Even though the sun was up, it was 34 degrees when I snapped this shot.  I know that's not cold for my northern blogger friends....but, it sure is for Sarasota.  Let's hope it warms up soon.  People are descending upon Florida for sun, fun, bowl games --- and warmth!

I like how you captured the blueness of the frost - very unified image.

Currently in Manila so no frost here, but I am dreading going back to Norwich. Brrr!

A couple of days left before the New Year. Are you ready?

Many thanks for your patience, and for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

I love frost, it's so beautiful! Good thing we can't change the weather to our wishes.

That's just wrong (shiver up spine). Nice photo though :) How are Floridians coping with this unusually cold weather? Are they grumbling and complaining about it (like I do) or are they enjoying it?

I saw it snow here once. That was back in '76. I think snow would be easier to get off my windsheild than this blasted ice.

did you have an ice scraper for the windshield? We dont have one and have to wait for it to melt from the heater.

This is exactly what I saw out back this morning, too...it was 22 here, though. Now, it's over 60 and feeling almost hot! Crazy! I've lived in Florida 26 years and have never seen anything like this cold weather, either.

Re your question about reflecting on the New Year...I think that might require remembering what happened in the old year...and ah...I ain't so good at that! ;-)

A Happy New Year to you!

Nice picture. I'm glad someone took a picture of the frost cause who's going to believe us from up north. And you're an hour south of me and you got it!

I saw a blurb on the news about the cold in Florida. Hope the strawberries survived!

I have family who live in Florida. They have all been complaining about the cold. Of course, me, living in New England, didn't believe them. I was like, "sure, it goes in the 60s and you guys freeze, try living up here". After seeing your photos, I think I owe my aunt an apology, lol! I DO love how you captured the frost on the ground, it looks beautiful.
