Ready for Takeoff

Ready for Takeoff
Ready for takeoff!

Almost every time I go to the airport in Ft. Myers (RSW), I see deer in the adjacent fields.  Doesn't matter what time of year or time of day.  (The SDP Junior Editor spotted this one last Sunday afternoon as we headed to Departures and it was still there patiently waiting for me when I was leaving.) One has to think there's fencing around the perimeter to prevent them from wandering onto the tarmacs, right?

How cute is that. The deer could probably take off as fast as the deer. BTW, I'm back on my Ocala blog. :)

It is dear of the deer to watch for your departure. Yes, the fence is essential. I used to fly for an airline that went into a small airport in Rhinelander, WI during the summer season and often landing had to be aborted because of deer on the runway. A bit scary; hitting a deer would not be a pretty sight.

So glad there is fencing, a lovely photo, showing grass is available right in a built up area, maybe waiting for you and your camera.
