Is it really the first of the month already?! Well, that means it's theme day in the City Daily Photo community and this month it's tranquility. This is the calm before the storm. I snapped this photo a couple of weeks ago at sunset as a squall blew in from the Gulf of Mexico onto Sanibel island, about 100 miles south of Sarasota. What a beautiful evening! Hope your Friday is tranquil.

I love beach photos! This one reminds me of my favorite artist, Robyn Joy. She does beautiful beach paintings. I have 3 of her pieces. Here is a link to some of her seascapes:

Tranquil but not for long!
Talk about storm brewing!!! Gorgeous photo.
Gorgeous layering of all those horizontals, and the colours are to die for.
Good eye you have there.
you can see the wind blowing the long grass too. Put being here on my bucket list.
Spectacular! I've got a shot trip planned next month for the Texas Gulf coast. I'm looking forward to some beautiful beach shots myself.
Great sky over the Gulf. The storm clouds and actual rain have finally hit the Bay area. Love your shot!
I like the lighting in this photo and I love Sanibel Island.
When the skies are like this, I get inside. Fast! Hope you did, too.
So peaceful in this shot! Perfect!
The tranquility that precedes the storm. Well done, take care!
i am in awe of this shot, the colors are amazing, and the perfectly placed and focused swaying reeds in front!
